wooo long time no blog!!! i'm hereeeeeeeeeee.... okay i managed to find out a way to access all these banned sites (according to china's protocol), via anonymous surfing. COOL right?? okay i guess i was a bit lag in terms of IT stuff but hey i found a way here finally. hence, i can visit our class blog from now on, no firewalls blocking!

right. so how's everyone?? i'm very happy and very sad because i have such a long holiday and no need to go ns... but im also very sad because i have no classmates or friends in beijing. =( and i am still seeking for a job now. u know how hard it is to find one here? gosh it's almost killing me but 天下无难事,只怕有心人 right, yah so i believe that i can find a good job if i put in enough time and energy. With the release of A level results, our junior college life has finally come to a complete end. I believe today's results may be satisfactory to some while disappointing to others. No matter what, we all shared the common experience of preparing eagerly for the A level, enduring the torment of sitting for the A level and waiting impatiently for the release of A level results. Such experiences are once a life-time experiences and I greatly treasured them.

In retrospect, these two years of junior college life has indeed been enriching to most of us though some may feel stress and discomfort of junior college life especially during the final stretch of preparing for A level and sitting for A level. But it was also this last stretch of the race to A level that I have seen the most uncommon facet of some of us who started to adopt a proactive approach towards learning and work diligently for the A level. That's really commendable. I strongly believe that as long as you have tried your best, you would find satisfaction in your result. The only reason why we may find dissatifaction in our results is probably due to the fact that we believe we could stretch our potentials further to obtain even better results.

Anyway, A level is just part of our life journey. No matter what kind of results you get, it doesn't guarantee anything for the future. Many things would still depend on the steps you took subsequently which are your major decisions of life. Therefore, do sit down calmly and plan your next move after you received your A level result.

As for the small gift I have passed to most of the people today, its significance is actually extended from prawn I have given to everyone last year during the Valentine's Day period. Just as prawns are suited to live underwater, I believe that each of us has also our unique realm that we can excel in. It's just a matter of whether we have actually explored this special field. Therefore, I have specially chosen these candles with their wax containing the features of underwater. I hope every single one of us would be able to find that special field that we can excel in. Of course, candles also served the purpose of giving others best wishes and stars often represent hope. Therefore, while the joining of candles to form a star continues to represent that we are all indispendable part of this S6aints community, it's also my best wishes to everyone. No matter what you are pursuing, I would like to wish all of you all the best for your future endeavours.

At this point, I would like to give special thanks to Miss Tan, our Civics Tutor. She has indeed been one of the most caring teachers I have met and I believe that most of us would share the same sentiment. She has contributed to our comprehension of the subject, Chemistry by not only teaching the subject with passion and understanding, but also staying back on several occasions to assist individuals in any aspects of the subject. Of course, her contribution to the class does not limit to academics, she also has concerns for each of us in our daily matters and the unity of the class. I believe most of us would find it a joy to share our feelings with her. She's the really a great confidant. Therefore, I would like to wish her all the best for her teaching career and hope that she would continue to touch others' lives as she had touched our lives. Thanks so much for your teachings.

Other than that, I would also like to thank everyone for the shared memories you have given me. I would continue to treasure all the friendships that I have fostered during the two year period. It's really been my pleasure to have gotten know all of you, be it on the superficial or in-depth level. Thanks so much.

Everyone, continue to be sanguine and always maintain your sunny disposition. All the best. May the Lord bless you with wisdom to find your true destiny.

First Day in NS

As the first day I am enlisted in NS, I feel it rather compelling to share with all of you my unique experience. I think it will be a bit different from other guys.

My enlistment time is at 8.30am at CMPB today (exactly the same as Ni Chuan). However, due to some delays, I only managed to get to CMPB at 8.40am (2nd time late since I returned from China). In the end, I was told that the first round of Oath Taking has already started so I had to wait for the second round. (That's perhaps the reason why I didn't meet Ni Chuan today). So I waited patiently for the second round. When the parents and relatives of first batch of enlistees come out, I entered the Oath Taking room and they took away my NRIC. Then I was told to be seated in the first three rows and I was seated in the first row. Then they play some videos to allow time for others to arrive. At the same time, we were issued SAF cards. When everyone was seated, they started the Oath Taking exercise. They just asked us to rise and repeat after the officer. It was completely a mess in the first part of the Oath as we were asked to say our own NRIC and name. But the rest was in one voice. Then we were asked to sign the Oath form. After that, we have 10 mins of interaction with parents or friends. Then the officers saw I am alone so they began to accost me and try to console me for being alone. I also feel quite left out during that point. Luckily, it's just a short period of time. After that, we were being brought to an auditorium and they show a Hollywood movie for us to kill time.

Then the Military Police Command officer came and brought me to the Mowbary Camp. That's the most ironical part. I had to rush to CMPB which is at Tiong Bahru early in the morning and they are bringing me to the Mowbary Camp which is just 20 mins of walking distance from my house. Anyway, I only realised that after I went home. As for the rest of the day, I was being told to read some general rules and meet the officers there. Most of the time I was idling cos everyone is too busy with their work so no time to entertain me. But I do have some chit-chatting with the people there and get to know quite a lot of people today.

From today's experience, I realised that I am going to be one of the slackest soldier in NS:) My job scope is just to do administrative work in the HR branch. My working hours is from 7.30am to 5.30pm on weekdays and get to rest on Sat and Sun. I think that's the same as schooling. Furthermore, as I am the direct enlistee there, I don't even need to go Pulau Tekong for a week of Residential Induction Programme. Guess I am going to stay where I am for the whole of two years.

Hi all, it has since quite some time since I lasted post a message so I decided to post again:)

In the recent months, I think most of us are really busy rushing tutorials and preparing for tests and next two weeks are no exception. We will be having chem class test and for those taking CLL, there is additional CLL lecture test next week. I will also be having my NUS H3 Physics mid-term test on week 10. It seems that there is not much time for us to really relax and do things at our own pace. However, I think it still depends on how well we manage our time to cater to all our needs, sometimes we could still find time out of our tight schedule to do things we want to do. Continue to strive your very best in the months ahead, all s6aints. The torment is going to be over soon.

All right, enough of academics. Yesterday, I also went to Unity Secondary School for Maths Peer Tutoring Programme. It was quite an enjoyable afternoon as I got to interact with secondary school students and help them to clear doubts about Maths problems. Occasionally, they also asked about other subjects but it was quite rudimentary. I think it is quite a relief that I have not forgotten everything my secondary school teachers taught me. This programme is also killing off two birds with one stone as I have not only helped the secondary school students but also earned CIP hours for myself.

Today, I also went for the NTU Lightning Chess Competition but it turned out to be a flash in the pan. Initially, I thought there was going to be a lot of participating teams just like last year. In the end, only 10 teams from 6 JCs turned out. To make things worse, we got ourselves in a fix by having all the two teams in the same group which means that we have to compete against each other. So in the end, we got a scenario of Chairman Vs Chinese Chess Captain. That’s a rare sight as I never really played with C Chess Captain in actual competition. I must say I have been quite lucky today as I actually lost a cannon to C Chess Captain at the middle of the competition but I managed to secure victory by getting rid of his “che” owing to his carelessness. Of course, needless to say, we still lost that match to Team A, they are our best chinese chess players after all. Besides that, we also lost to AJC Team A and Team B was unable to get into the semi-finals. As for Team A, they are defeated by VJC Team A in the semi-finals so they only managed to clinch the third prize. Quite a sad case for them. But what’s relief for me is that I manage to win all the 4 rounds, quite an achievement for me. (YAY!!)

haha welcome to the new year! it's 2.23 am and it feels like 8pm

I am so happy!!!

I was shouting songs with my friends at the river side where it's silent all around except there was a couple and some other pp beside, but its super cool! yeah and today's reunion dinner is v sumptuous, i ate like the dinner and at 10 i ate 10 dumplings again so i feel very overloaded right now. arg. the ills of eating...

but u don get to do that everyday u know. cny this year is extremely different. i don get to celebrate it with my family but i feel very homely and warm here at my friend's house!

so juz wish that all of u are having a fabulous piggy-good-time!

most of the girls left at 10.30 lidat to go celebrate june's bday!went to clementi kbox, quite good and cheap..about 7 bucks for k lunch(chicken rice)which was quite nice haha.actually i got a video(very funny )one of meis singing ..em..entertainingly..but got to see if she allow me to put it up first=P haha and durin kboxin...whenever the farenheit's wu zun appeared..zhao rui will scream! haha..ya and other funny incidents were when meis was rapin the 'where is the love' song in a singapore accent(sounds weird and extremely funny!!) we left the place half an hour after our time was up..that k box not so strict(so u noe where to kbox nxt time hor xP)..haha but the waiter n manager kept comin into our room to sort of chase us out =PP

as we left the place, we also 'took' a poster of farenheit..by tearin it off the board ..to the unawareness of the kbox ppl..lol..it was a scary..exhilaratin experience..(sound like we're thieves..oops)

then xiaoqin n zhao rui left(forgot take grp photo) rest of us contnued to jurong point to help meis shop for new year clothes, but nothin really caught our eyes .

Mystery of Prawn

Good day, everyone. By now, most of you should have received a small gift from me containing a handmade prawn. So what exactly is the significance of the prawn? Well, to tell you the truth, I have actually made 24 prawns in total with my sister’s assistance, with 1 transparent prawn given to Miss Tan, 9 pink prawns, 7 green prawns and 7 blue prawns given to each s6aints. So they actually represent each unique individual remaining in S6A now and together we form the S6A community as shown below.

Now, I want all of you to know that you are an indispensable part of this class as once a prawn is gone, the figure of S6A will be incomplete. Therefore, I really hope that all of us can unite as a class and demonstrate high class spirit in the year ahead by supporting one other in this community.

I could still remember vividly the first time we were brought together as a class, with a significant number of people from different background and most of us don’t even have the slightest idea of who the others were. However, as time goes by, we gradually get to know most of the classmates, however our class spirit remains to be challenged from time to time. So I really hope that as we celebrate the Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year, we could all still remember that we are all part of this S6A community and it is each and everyone’s responsibility to maintain the unity of this community for united we stand and divided we fall. Do support one another and participate actively in class activities in the year ahead. JC life is really short-lived and before we know it, it’ll be over. So I really hope that we would all treasure one other’s companion so that we do not leave regrets in our JC life.

Of course, besides that, another significance of the prawn will be the analogy in International Chess. As all of us know that the prawn plays an insignificant role in International Chess. However, given time and opportunity, it has the ability to knock out the king. Therefore, I would like to highlight that though each of us may seem to play an insignificant role in the unity of the class, the combine effort of each and every individual can make miracles come true. On personal basis, I hope that all of us can adopt the spirit of a prawn to persevere till the end to achieve whatever you want to achieve. Look at failures as stepping stones to success. One in all, I hope everyone will continue to maintain your positive outlook and all the best in your future endeavours.

Once again, I would also like to wish everyone a happy Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year. Do take a good break from school over the Chineses New Year holidays and enjoy your holidays.

Vday's around the corner! it's getting very near already. What have you all bought for your mortals n angels? I havent' really started thinking about what to buy yet. And still don't have time to shop n buy them. Len n xf going to shop for them on sunday... maybe i'll join them. I got 2 mortals some more. and 2 angels. though the other angel is totally dead. didn't reply to my letter at all after that terrible letter she or he wrote to me. it's really terrorising, i duno.

hi all, spa today was manageble ...rite? except for a few reliabilities pts which i jus cant get into my head..overall i tot it was ok ..i hope><.

haha , dunno wad to blog abt so i shall blog abt out cip last sat n revive the blog more! plz endure.

we assembled at boon keng(din noe it existed) mrt at 1..supposed to reach the old folks house at 2 but we waited till abt 2 plus at e mrt.. only s6a..cos len helped her frens(the coordinators) to look out 4 late comers.so we were lucky!! we could start work later!! haha cos we had to end arnd 5.30.although i dun think we did any less work than some other classes..who fin work like in half hour(can u believe it)n slack for dunno how many hrs=_=jealous..we ended abt excatly 5 plus.

the house we supposed to clean was owned by this 50 yr old diabetic woman who din relli seemed disabled...but nvm,her house was full of junkies..1 rm flat.we slogged really hard..had to scrub ceiling(yes can u imagine><)..scrub walls ..water pipes..ulu ..dam dirty n dusty corners =S..saw alot spiders..cobwebs..tiny roaches=/len said she prob killed the mummi spider haha..but w were dam lucky..dunid clean the toilet =p

oh ya there was this 39 yr old fully abled guy who demanded we clean his house for him(dream on mister)n len said her fren said that a guy who seem to hold a white powdery substances(tri bromo phenol??..too much spa haha) n look relli dazed came out of his flat...(ponders)

we fin cleanin abt 5.30 (freed!)but rihui slogged abit more (hard worker).then we all sat down n had a meal(cai fan)wif the auntie..zhenyu really entertained us with his thought on an ideal wife hahaha(e.g mus walk as fast as him)haha.

in case ya all still dunno, we will be having another senior-junior class outings aka smja [senior meet junior AGAIN] this sunday. we will meet at harbourfront mrt at 10am coz we r going sentosa. heee dun really noe what we r doing there, maybe beach volleyball, beach soccer or frisbee. [plz don mug there] we will be having lunch there i think. yupp then we will leave sentosa around 3pm to cine. most likely dinner will be settled there. n after that we will see what we can do. haha. if u have any idea plz tell me thxxx.

anw for those who want to mug or have sth on in the afternoon, u all can join us for dinner. so plz don pon. hahahaha. n do bring extra clothes yar don ask me why. hahahaha.

hey class i'm posting here again. quite surprised that the blog is quite lively. haha as compared to last yr it's really much much much better. so keep it up! heehee n the tagbox is like totally flooded la. harlo juniors! but y is everyone like using senior no.1 or senior no.2 or the first junior. it's damn funny la.
